Day 1 Sat – Transparent Surfaces - Full Day 2 Sun- Reflective Surfaces - FULL
Venue: St Agnes Church Hall, 85 Ipswich St, Esk QLD 4312 Cost per day: SASI Member $65 Non-member: $85
Day 1: Sat 27 Feb 2021 10am-4pm Glass: We will look at transparent objects such as vases, tumblers and bottles, then learn how to paint the distortions that happen when items overlap and change colour etc.
Day 2: Sun 28th Feb 2021 9am-3pm
Reflective surfaces: Shiny, metallic and ceramic objects are the focus for this day. Learn how to paint the interesting shapes and patterns that are reflected onto these surfaces.

About this workshop
Participants will be shown how to create a picture using torn and cut papers, layering up a surface through thoughtful placement as well as random use of textures in paper. Then they will have opportunity to work back into their artwork using ,pencils, crayons, markers, watercolour and acrylics.
This activity is well suited for beginners as no skills are required. Participants can learn how construct an artwork with no drawing skills in a way that built confidence and encourage exploration in art and materials.

All product required for the activity will be provided including CANVAS board (30cm x30cm), transparent papers, sheet music, paints, markers, brushes etc. to share during the activity.
You are encouraged to bring your personal art supplies to learn new ways to use products you already own.
