• The Somerset Art Society Inc. (SASI) has the right to move artworks into correct categories or reject artworks that don't adhere to these terms and conditions.

• Open to visual artists across Australia.

​

• Maximum 3 artworks can be entered per artist.

​

• Entry fees (non-refundable): $15 per artwork for SASI members and Youth, $25 per artwork for non-members. Completed and signed entry form and payment must be received by SASI no later than 5pm on 24 June 2019. Late entries will not be accepted.

​

• Artists entering the Youth Art Prize must be aged between 15-20 years inclusive and must indicate date of birth on entry form.

​

• Entries must be the unaided work of the artist, completed after June 2017 and not have previously won a prize in an art awards/art prize. Prizes won in Local Shows are the exception as they are not considered professional competitions with high prize money and professional judges.

​

• Size of all 2D artworks, including frame, must not exceed 110cm on the longest side. 3D artworks must be within 110cm squared and movable by 2 people.

​

• No artworks will be accepted that require power to operate (video, lighting, movement, screens, sound).

​

•  Artworks must be well presented, clean and prepared for hanging with D-rings placed no lower than 1/3 down from the top on each side of the artwork with picture wire or cord attached.

​

• Each artwork must have a label attached securely to the back of the artwork with the artist's name, phone number, title of work, category, medium and sale price.

​

• Artwork details cannot be changed after entry form is received.

​

• All entries must be for sale except for Youth entries, which is optional. SASI will retain 20% of all sales. Artists will be paid within 30 days of the exhibition closing.

​

• No wet artworks will be accepted on delivery or any artwork that SASI deems unsuitable for this exhibition.

​

• Works must be delivered on Wednesday 24 July 2019 to the Somerset Civic Centre, Hampton - Esk Road, Esk, between 8am and 1pm, by yourself or your representative.

​

• All packaging must be removed from artworks at the time of delivery and taken away with you.

​

• Works must be collected from the Somerset Civic Centre on Sunday 28 July 2019 between the hours of 2pm and 4pm. ­­­Artworks cannot be stored onsite and any artworks not collected will become the property of SASI.

​

• Courier deliveries to: SASI, 8 Short Street, Esk Qld. Return Courier must be pre-arranged, and labels supplied. Postal deliveries: SASI, PO Box 413, Esk QLD 4312. Return labels and postage must be provided. Artworks will be repackaged in the same materials that they were received and ready for return Courier or posting on Monday 29 July 2019.

• Insurance is the responsibility of the artist. SASI will take all care but no responsibility for loss, theft or damage of works.

​

• Artists agree to allow photography of their artwork and use of those images for art awards advertising. Copyright remains with the artist.

​

• Judge’s decision is final. The Winner of the Bendigo Bank Award is excluded from being eligible for other prizes.

​

• The People’s Choice votes will be tallied at the end of the exhibition and the winner will be advertised on the SASI website and the art awards Facebook page. The winner will be notified via phone and email.
